Looking for a fun and competitive swim team coaching experience?  Come and join the coaching staff of our exciting and successful swim team! The Hiddenbrook Hurricanes Swim Team is accepting applications for the position of Assistant Coach for the 2025 summer swim season.  

The Hiddenbrook Swim and Tennis Club is located in Herndon, Virginia, and consists of approximately 180 swimmers ranging from ages 4 to 18.  In 2024, we competed in in Division 4 with a 2-3 record.  Over the past 8 seasons Hiddenbrook has won 3 NVSL Division titles.  

Qualifications:

- Enthusiastic, energetic, and fun!
- Previous coaching experience in a competitive swim league
- Ability to show initiative while coaching
- High school graduate
- Competitive swimming experience
- Lifeguard and Pool Operator certifications are required. Hiddenbrook will provide financial
  assistance for certification(s) if needed.  
- Able to communicate effectively with children of all ages, as well as their parents

Job Duties:

- Attend NVSL Coaches Clinic and NVSL Stroke and Turn Clinic
- Understand NVSL rules and swim meet protocols
- Help conduct all practices weekdays from May 27 through July 26.  
- Help coach Saturday morning swim meets including Time Trials, NVSL Dual Meets,
 the NVSL Divisional Meet and the NVSL All Stars Meet
- Help coach Monday evening B Meets and Relay Carnivals
- Attend special meetings, including a parent meeting prior to start of season
- Participate in special events including pep rallies and team social events
- Participate in end of season award banquet
