Winter Swim Coach - 24/25 Winter Season

Vienna Woods, a NVSL Division 4 swim team, is currently seeking a Winter Swim Coach for our upcoming Winter Swim program (Sept 2024 through May 2025).   Practices are held at OakMont Rec Center on Sunday evenings from 6-7pm, with approximately 50 swimmers participating in the winter swim program.

Winter Swim Coach responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement skill-appropriate workout plans
• Manage coaching staff of junior coaches to assist with practices
• Provide stroke and technique instruction to swimmers of various ability levels
• Cultivate a safe and fun practice environment that fosters a love of the sport
• Maintain effective communication with parents and pool staff throughout the season

Requirements:

• Previous competitive swimming experience
• A passion for stroke and technique development, especially in the 10+under age groups
• Experience working with children of all ages and ability levels 
• Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
• Prior coaching experience (NVSL, USA Swimming, or similar program)
