• Capitals Hockey October 15th - Promo for Swim Teams and Indiv

  Hello Swim Families,

  The Capitals are excited to host all of you for the upcoming game on October 15^th vs the Montreal Canadiens! There are two options for you to come out and support not only the Caps, but your swim team as well.

  One would be to purchase individual tickets for the game through the following link: https://fevo.me/swimcaps In order to receive a Caps cap with your ticket, it must be purchased through the link, normal ticket purchases off of a 3^rd party site will not include a cap.

  The other option is to purchase 10+ tickets as a team. Not only do these tickets come with a Caps cap, they will be at a discount compared to the individual tickets along with a jumbotron shout out for your team. • A Successful Conclusion to the 2022 Season; Looking Ahead to 2023

  The Individual All Star (IAS) meet was held at Orange Hunt Swim Club on Saturday, July 30th. The weather was perfect for fast swimming and one more NVSL record was set.

  Congratulations to Max Thompson of Shouse Village for breaking the League record in boys 11-12 50M butterfly with a time of 27.97! The previous record was set by Nolan Dunkel of Tuckahoe with a time of 28.47 on 7/28/18!
  
  Thank you to the Orange Hunt community, especially meet managers Allison Hetzel and Laurie Smith, as well as all of the wonderful volunteers who gave their time and effort to support the meet. Event photos will be posted in the next couple of weeks. The link and password will be sent to team reps for distribution. 
  
  We are already looking ahead to the 2023 season. Mark your calendars.....the first dual meet will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 and the season will conclude with the Individual All Star meet on Saturday, July 29, 2023.

• Congratulations 2022 Division Sportsmanship Winners!

  We would like to recognize our 2022 NVSL Division Sportsmanship Award Winners. NVSL Division Sportsmanship Awards are presented annually at the Divisional meets to one team in each division that best exemplifies the principles of good sportsmanship as embodied in the NVSL Standards of Conduct.  All six teams in a division vote for the award with each team casting three ballots: one based on the vote of the Team Representative, a second based on the vote of their coaches, and a third based on a vote of the 13 & over team members.

  Congratulations to all NVSL swimmers who competed in Divisionals yesterday. The weather was HOT, but there were still so many fast swims throughout the League. We would like to recognize our 2022 NVSL Individual All Stars, who are the top-18 in their respective events based on Divisional meet results.
