The Holmes Run Acres (HRA) Hurricanes are seeking an Assistant Coach for Summer 2023.

HRA is a small team of about 125 swimmers and will swim (probably) in Division 12.  The swim team is an enthusiastic and tight-knit community that values teamwork, personal achievement, and good sportsmanship.  The Assistant Coach will be invited to attend all pep rallies and other social events.

The Assistant Coach will attend daily practice  (afternoons 5/30 - 6/16) and mornings 6/19 - 7/21) as well as Saturday morning A meets and Monday evening B meets.  Our Assistant Coach will work cooperatively with the Head Coach and will be asked to focus on stroke development and proficiency among the younger swimmers.   In addition to attending each A Meet and B Meet, the Assistant Coach should plan to assist at the Divisional Relay Carnival, one IM Invitational meet, the Woodley MiniMeet, Divisional Championship Meet and the End of Season Banquet. 

Qualifications Include:

-          Certification in CPR/First Aid, and Lifeguard (Pool Operators License is a plus!)

-          Coaching skills that include stroke development and comfort working with young children

-          Experience with the NVSL, either as a previous swimmer, coach, or Team Rep.

-          Ability to work with Head Coach, another Assistant Coach, children ages 4-18, parents, and one Team Rep.
